Boeing take another 787 out for a spin, United delays DEN-NRT service to 12th June

01/04/2013 by Kevincm

Boeing has conducted another test flight with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner on Monday 1st April.

The flight was not related to the Lithium-Ion battery pack issue which has plagued the 787, but as Boeing says it is “addresses ongoing system upgrades to the airplane.” according to The Seattle Times.

The test flight was conducted with a 787 bound for LOT Polish Airlines.

The re-certification flight for the 787 to clear the battery issues is expected during this week.

Meanwhile the grounding of the 787 is impacting United, with the proposed Denver-Tokyo service to 10th June 2013 . The airline had already pushed back the original 31st March start to the 12th May.

Those of with you with redemptions – I’m afraid it’s back to the phone lines to rebook again…..
