All Nippon Airlines is gearing up for flying the Boeing 787 Dreamliner again.
According to the airline:
We have decided to resume the operation of our Boeing 787 fleet from 1 June 2013, after assuring first that required improvements are undertaken and that the safety of the aircraft is fully secured.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused by the present grounding of all Boeing 787 aircraft.
We would like to inform you that the Frankfurt-Haneda route will be operated on a Boeing 787 from 1 June 2013.
As well as the resumption of the Frankfurt – Tokyo Haneda route (which I took at look at in Farewell Miles), ANA is resuming a lot of other routes
- Tokyo Haneda – Beijing
- Tokyo Haneda – Taipei Taoyuan – NH1185/1186
- Tokyo Narita – Beijing – NH905/906
- Tokyo Narita – San Jose CA
- Tokyo Narita – Shanghai Pu Dong – NH919/920
As well as the international routes, there are a lot of domestic routes returning to 787 operation. Head to http://airlineroute.net/2013/05/09/nh-jun13/ for the full breakdown of where the 787’s are due to be posted to.
As usual – if you’re flying just for the aircraft type – be aware that short notice equipment changes can occur, and everything is subject to change.
