American Airlines to boost Dallas and Miami services to London

03/06/2013 by Kevincm

It seems London services are going to be a major benificiary of a service upgrade between Dallas Fort Worth and London, as well as the Miami to London route.

Dallas Fort Worth to London Heathow goes up to 17 weekly flights, with the new timetable effective from 27th October:

AA080 DEPART DFW 1655 ARRIVE LHR 07:55+1 *
AA050 DEPART DFW 1830 ARRIVE LHR 09:30+1 **
AA078 DEPART DFW 2020 ARRIVE LHR 11:25+1 ***

AA051 DEPART LHR 0945 ARRIVE DFW – 1405 **
AA081 DEPART LHR 1205 ARRIVE DFW – 1630 *
AA079 DEPART LHR 1325 ARRIVE DFW – 1740 ***

Commences 27th October 2013
See notes below, Equipment Varies on flight number

* AA80 Operates Outbound Thursday, Friday Saturday
AA81 Operates Inbound Friday, Saturday, Sunday

** A50/51 Operates using Boeing 777-300ER

*** AA78/79 Operates using Boeing 777-200ER

Meanwhile, the Miami to London Heathrow service goes double daily from 10 servicess a week to 14 services a week – along with an equipment upgrade from Boeing 767’s to Boeing 777-200ER’s.

AA056 DEPART MIA 19:05 ARRIVE LHR 0840+1
AA038 DEPART MIA 20:55 ARRIVE LHR 1030+1

AA057 DEPART LHR 11:05 ARRIVE MIA 16:00
AA039 DEPART LHR 12:35 ARRIVE MIA 17:35

Commences 27th October 2013
Operates using Boeing 777-200ER

For those conecting between the major fortress hub of Dallas Fort Worth and London, as well as the sun of Miami and beyond, these could provide good extra connections. My views on AA Transatlantic Economy are… better than average depending on the seat you get. See here (October 2012) and here (April 2013) for two different views on AA’s service.

Just be thankful it isn’t on an American Airlines 767-300ER… Not pleasant if you have to sit in the back of the plane in one of those things….

Certainly can’t complain about more DFW-LHR service for those of us in DFW! Any way to know if/when those 777’s are new ones?

Looks like the usual 50/51 will be my choice again in the future :). Thanks!
