In what can only be described as good news, the French Air Traffic Controllers who went on strike on Tuesday 06:00 will be finishing their strike a day early – Thursday 13th 05:59.
The strike was due to finish on Friday 14 June 05:59.
Yesterday, over 1800 flights were canceled, with domestic, European and international services all hit, cutting the flying programmes of most airlines flying in and out of French Airspace.
The French Air Traffic Controllers are striking due to plans by the European Union to reorganise air traffic into blocs as opposed to by country – the idea being to reduce charges and flight times.
At least its finishing a day early, allowing those who need to travel – or get home – to get to where they need to.
One thing that isn’t finishing early is the draw for a GoGo inflight Internet voucher – head to http://economyclassandbeyond.boardingarea.com/2013/06/10/win-a-gogo-inflight-internet-voucher/ to enter. You’ve got Sunday 13:00BST to get your entry in!
And I’m going to spice up the draw a bit later on….
