A bit later than planned due to the issues that plagued the 787 fleet over the first part of this year, but Norwegian Air Shuttle have taken delivery of their first Boeing 787 Dreamliner today

The plane is also International Lease and Finance Company (ILFC) first 787, whom Norwegian Air Shuttle is leasing the aircraft from for 12 years, and represents the first of eight aircraft that Norwegian will be acquiring through either leasing or purchasing.
With the delivery of this first aircraft, Norwegian will slowly switch out the hired help that the airline used to launch its long haul services, to serve Oslo and Stockholm to New York and Bangkok, with new routes from Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen to Fort Lauderdale. However, before going on long haul runs, Norwegian Air Shuttle will be operating The DreamTour – where it will be running the aircraft on Intra-European runs
See: http://airlineroute.net/2013/06/05/dy-787-jul13/ for the list of planned routes and operation dates, which cover flights from Oslo to:
- Alicante
- Barcelona
- London Gatwick
- Malaga
- Nice
Continuing with Norwegian Air Shuttle’s theme of painting famous faces on the plane, this one features Sonja Henie – A Norwegian figure skating who was a three-time Olympic Champion and actress.
And of course, the plane just looks so different with that fully painted red nose…
