Emirates continues to expand the usage of it’s Airbus A380 fleet by adding another destination – this time Barcelona.
The A380 will take over from the existing single rotation a day.

The service will be operated with the higher capacity A380’s containing:
– 14 First class suites
– 76 Business class beds
– 427 Economy Seats
A total of 517 seats.
The service started in 2012, and seems to have done well – especially for Emirates to dedicate an A380 to the route.
Emirates also operates to Madrid, operating two services a day from the Spanish capital, giving a 3 x a day service between Spain and Dubai.
It’s another move for Emirates as they continue to push their into markets (and in some cases, adding lots capacity). Hopefully it will pay for them – after all, those A380’s do not come cheap at all….
