Delta trims it’s Atlanta-Dublin service for part of winter

22/07/2013 by Kevincm

Delta is trimming its Atlanta – Dublin operation for the latter part of the winter timetable.

The winter timetable will operate from 27th October 2013 to 10th January 2013 (based on US departures – add 1 day for Ireland departures), and will suspend operation of the route from 11th January to 8th March.

The booked timetable looks like this:

DL176 DEPART ATL 17:55 ARRIVE DUB 06:50+1 DUB 767 x26
DL177 DEPART DUB 08:40 ARRIVE ATL 12:54 ATL 767 x37

Notes:

 - Winter timetable operates from 27th October 2013
   to 10th January 2014.
 - DL176 does not operate on Tuesdays or Saturdays
 - DL177 does not operate on Wednesdays or Sundays

Booked Equipment: Boeing 767-300

Whilst Delta has not published their Spring/Summer 14 timetable, it would safe to assume that there would be services would resume later in 2014.

For those of you who use Skyteam, to get to Atlanta, you’ll need to head from Dublin to London, Manchester, Amsterdam, or Paris to get to Atlanta… and in the process loose the benefits of US Immigration and Customs Pre-Clearance.

For those who want use the US Immigrations and Customs pre-clearance at Dublin, you’ll need to take the daily New York-JFK service and change there. Alternate options are via London, Manchester, Amsterdam, or Paris to get to Atlanta. Use of these routes will mean you loose one of the core benefits of heading to the USA via Dublin and Shannon – the ability to clear US immigration and Customs at these points.
