Turkish Airlines is continuing with its fleet expansion, with the airline adding an extra five aircraft to their Boeing 777-300ER order, taking the order from 15 aircraft, up to 20 aircraft.
The five aircraft are options that Turkish Airlines had in their last 777-300ER order, which the airline has taken up.
This will take the Turkish 777-300ER fleet up from the current 15 in service up to a total of 35 of the class, which will aid the airlines expansion.
Turkish Airlines has a significant Boeing airline backlog, with orders for the 737NG, 737MAX and 777-300ER, with at least 100 aircraft on order.
The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2016 and 2017, adding to the burgeoning fleet that Turkish Airlines has.
