Easyjet says the Airbus A320 landed with both engines operating after suffering a technical issue in flight. None of the 174 passengers and six crew were injured in the incident.

Upon the discovery of the missing cowling, the aircraft made a circuit of the local area, and returned to Milan Malpensa.

Part of cowling on the left hand engine detached on take-off – akin to the British Airways A319 that lost its engine cowling after take off in May this year.

At least the plane made it down safely, with everyone aboard safe.
