It looks like China Southern Airlines will be deploying their new Boeing 787’s to London Heathrow a lot sooner than was first thought.
Originally, the Skyteam member was meant to be operating from the beginning of the winter timetable (27th October 2013). Instead, the operation of the aircraft has been pushed forward to 10th September 2013 – a good 7 weeks early.
The 787 will replace the A330-200 that currently operates the Guangzhou – London Heathrow, with the following times booked:
CZ303 DEPART CAN 09:05 ARRIVE LHR 15:25 Operates Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday CZ304 DEPART LHR 22:35 ARRRIVE CAN 1735+1 Operates Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday CZ304 DEPART LHR 17:50 ARRIVE CAN 12:50+1 OPERATES THIS TIMING SATURDAY ONLY Operates as above (in particular, note the Saturday operation of CZ304). Booked Equipment 787-8
As more 787s take to the sky, it’s inenvitiable they’re going to be everywhere. Still, the sight of a new plane and a new product in the sky… and early too…

Good timing for connections at CAN. Now you can enjoy both 787 and A380 on Canton Route to Australia.
