With the test certificate issued, the aircraft has cleared the last required regulatory hurdle, which will allow FTV-1 to take to the air.
It also means that the test flight of this aircraft will be drawing ever closer.
However there are other things that will need to be completed, such as high-speed taxi tests to simulate take off stresses.
Mike Arcamone, President, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft says:
“The CSeries aircraft teams have spent the last few weeks completing rigorous exercises to ensure the integrity and maturity of the aircraft are absolutely in check with the flight crew’s requirements. Pending optimal weather, the CSeries aircraft will soon take to the skies.”
CSeries orders have increased recently, with Ilyushin Finance Company to lease Five CS300 to Vim Airlines – increasing the backlog to 63 CS100’s and 119 CS300’s on order.
