As we’re all aware (or I’m forcing onto your feeds) RucksackGate is into Day 2. The baggage has entered the luggage system at San Juan – mostly repaired (I hope).
So I went through a few sewing kits last night repair it. And if truth be known – at speed.
How was this minor achievement done? Rather simply, and in part with the help of Intercontinental Hotels (in particular the IC San Juan), with one simple thing.
Providing the sewing kits pre-threaded
That’s not rocket science by any stretch of the imagination, but with my threading skills – I’d say it shaved a good 30 minutes off the quadruple stitching I did last night.
I still reckon I have to repair the bag with another round of stitching to replace the really weak stitches – but its better than nothing.
At least AA seem to like my stitching
Lets hope the luggage handlers like it too. More from STL/ORD later…
