In a shock to the senses, Lufthansa and MBNA are offering an updated credit card with a decent sign up offer:
- Initial sign-up bonus of 1,500 Miles and More Award Miles after first purchase
- After a £1000 spend within 90 days, 10,000 Miles and More Award Miles
You’ll need to apply before 15th December 2013 to take advantage of this, and complete the minimum retail spends.
The application link is at https://apply.mbna.co.uk/UKNeoCCapp/entry?sc=1UALMAMIES002B5&mc=UAEMAM002QQ
A Miles and More Credit Card is also a good way of making sure your miles don’t expire – even if the reward rates can be high. This is also better than the summer offer that Lufthansa/MNBA had with a 5,000 extra point bonus.
The card is offered by MBNA, based on a 16.9%APR. If you have other MNBA Credit cards, consider carefully as you may be required to balance your credit limits before they issue the card.
Still – if you’re intent on improving your pile of Miles and More Miles, this could be useful indeed. It’s especially useful for those who wish to prevent their miles expiring.
IMPORTANT: I’ve provided a direct link to the MBNA Miles and More Credit Card, which the source can be found at https://apply.mbna.co.uk/UKNeoCCapp/entry?sc=1UALMAMIGS00142&mc=UAGMAM001CS

Please note, the information above does not constitute financial advice and you should always do your own research on top to ensure it’s right for your specific circumstances, and may impact on your credit score. So don’t blame me if you overspend on a card and they come hounding after you. If in doubt – seek appropriate financial advice.
Those who are considering applying should bear in mind you’ll need to be resident in the UK to get one, and probably have reasonable banking references/credit ratings to obtain the card.
