Finnair staff prepare to walk out on strike – services affected.

14/11/2013 by Kevincm

In unwelcome news, the Finnish Cabin Crew Union and Finnish Aviation Union have published a strike waring against Finnair, with possibilities of strikes from 15th November to 23rd November.

Additional notice of strikes have given between 27th November to 30th November.

Whilst negotiations are ongoing, Finnair are allowing passengers to rebook tickets to 31st May 2014 (excluding the Christmas/New Year period of 16th December 2013 to 6th January 2014).

Cancellations are beginning to be listed on http://www.finnair.com/FI/GB/flights/flightlist, with a list of operating flights at http://www.finnair.com/INT/GB/flights/flights-during-strike, with both European and Long Haul routes affected.

Finnair is also advising the luggage delivery may also be affected, and to ensure all valuables are in hand luggage.

Passengers who are affected are advised NOT to travel, but contact the Finnair hotlines. Both rebooking and refunds are available.

Strikes are never good for the passenger – all we can do is muddle through whist trying to work out what happens next.
