Etihad continues to boost its links in Europe with the announcement of code-shares on Air Serbia (a carrier it has 49% interest in) and airBaltic.
Eithad will have its code placed on 12 additional Air Serbia routes from Belgrade including:
Abu Dhabi, Banja Luka, Berlin Tegel, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Ljubljana, Prague, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Tivat, Vienna
This complements the existing code-shares between Belgrade and
Podgorica, Sarajevo
Meanwhile the Etihad/airBaltic code-shares will commence on the 16th December when Eithad commences its 4 times a week service between Abu Dhabi and Riga.
The routes from Riga that will carry an EY code (operated by airBaltic) include departures from Riga to:
Aalesund, Abu Dhabi, Barcelona, Bergen, Billund, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Lappeenranta, Oslo, Prague, Stavanger, Stockholm, Tallinn, Turku, Vienna, Vilnius
As Etihad continues to expand its reach, its interesting to see how it does it. With the non-belief of traditional airline alliances, rather striking up code-share and equity agreements its way appears to be working….

Mhmm. Interesting flights.
RIX-AUH COMMERCIAL DUPLICATE – OPERATED BY

It would be more interesting when EY themselves would fly to RIX. 6hrs in basic A319 is not fun, especially on BT, where is BOB policy in Y.
