Reward flight Saver = £1 + Avios!

The big one has hit from the Avios.com and BA sale, and it’s the £1 Reward Flight Saver flight sale.

For those who don’t use the Avios scheme, Reward Flight Saver considerate and reduces the taxes on a select amount of routes (normally within the EU area), and lowers the amount of Avios required.

For example, it’s £35 + 9,000 Avios return to Frankfurt as opposed to the scandalously high taxes that can prevail.

The only requirement is that you need to have earned 1 (one) Avios in the programme (be it Avios.com or BA.com) within 12 months… which isn’t impossible.

The Reward Flight Sale reduces this cost from £35 to £1 (RETURN) on the following routes:

– Amsterdam
– Barcelona
– Dublin
– Jersey
– Lisbon
– Madrid
– Nice
– Rome

Ok, not the most extensive of lists out there, but better than a kick in the teeth.

Prices are based on a London departure, but Head For Points notes this also works from the regions (eg, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow etc).

You can also use these as ONE WAY flights, so the Avios requirement drops to 4,500 per leg and £0.50p (or Fifty Pence).

Bookings need to be between 12:00 GMT 13/01/14 and 11.59am GMT 15/01/14, with travel completed by 31/05/14.

Availability does vary, and you’re advised to use both BA.com and Avios.com to get the best availability (with Avios.com having a greater booking pool), and is in Economy Class/EuroTraveller only (but let’s face it, with the flight lengths involved, Economy Class/EuroTraveller isn’t going to kill you).
