Ethiopian Airlines will be adding Shanghai to its route network as the airline continues to develop. The new route will operate between Addis Ababa – Shanghai Pudong daily on the following timetable:
ET684 DEPART ADD 23:30 ARRIVE PVG 15:15+1 ET685 DEPART PVG 00:35 ARRIVE ADD 06:55 Operates from 29th March 2014 Operates Daily Booked Equipment Boeing 787 Dreamliner
This will be Ethiopian Airlines forth destination in China, with the airline serving Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou (as well as Hong Kong).
Ethiopian Airlines will be using a Boeing 787 for this route, configured with Business Class and Economy seating:
- 24 Business Class “Cloud Nine” Seats configured in 2-2-2
- 246 Economy Class seats configured in 3-3-3
As trade between Africa and Asia increases, this seems to be a good move for Ethiopian Airlines to increase their coverage in the China area. Booking is open on this route for those who need to take advantage of it.
