More A380 news as Air France plans to add Paris CDG to Hong Kong International as its next A380 operated route.

Initially the airline will operate to the Fragrant Harbor four times a week from 27th May, before going daily from 9th June.
The timetable looks like this:
AF188 DEPART CDG 23:25 ARRIVE HKG 1720+1 AF187 DEPART HKG 00:50 ARRIVE CDG 0800 Operation notes: Up until first timetable change, flights continue to operate with Boeing 777-300ER. AF188 operates Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from Paris from 25th May to 8th June as an A380. Other flights during this time operate with Boeing 777-300ER equipment Departures from Hong Kong start one day later. Daily operation of A380 commences 9th June to end of timetable.
Air France operates their A380 as a Four class aircraft configured as:
– 9 seats in La Première (First)
– 80 seats in Business
– 38 seats in Premium Economy
– 389 seats in Economy
Total: 516 seats
Air France already operates an A380 service to Shanghai, making Hong Kong the 2nd A380 destination in the region.
Timings are quite reasonable for an overnight snooze in both directions – depending where you’re sat will depend on the comfort and quality of that snooze though….
