Thai Airways update 787 operation plans

27/02/2014 by Kevincm

Thai Airways is slowly getting ready to receive its Boeing 787 Drea, liners, and introducing them to its network.

The good news is that reservations are open  for these flights now.  The two routes have been confirmed as

  • Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Perth Airport (Australia)
  • Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Tokyo Narita (originally Haneda, now switched to Narita)

The timetables have been published too for these routes:

Bangkok – Perth

TG483 DEPART BKK 23:59 ARRIVE PER 07:45+1
TG484 DEPART PER 09:15 ARRIVE BKK 15:15

Commences 1st July 2014
Operates Daily
Booked Equipment: Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner

Bangkok – Tokyo Narita

TG640 DEPART BKK 22:10 ARRIVE NRT 06:20+1
TG641 DEPART NRT 11:00 ARRIVE BKK 15:30
Commences 1st August 2014
Operates Daily
Booked Equipment: Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner

It seems the configuration of the plane has been confirmed too with these flights opening, with Thai operating their Boeing 787 Dreamliners in a 264 seat configuration made up of:

  • 24 Business Class Seats
  • 240 Economy Class seats in 3-3-3 formation

With bookings open, I strongly suspect if you’re after a Star Alliance redemption – seats should be available too…
