Opodo – an airfare consolidator and travel agent has thrown up an interesting wrinkle in its running a promotion on UK to USA airfares and holiday packages.

The deals are:
- £20 on airfare over £300 using code USA20
- £100 off a USA package when spending £1000 using code USA100
- £150 off a USA package when spending £1500 using code USA150
- £300 off a USA package when spending £1000 using code USA300

In addition Opodo charge 2.1% booking fee on Credit Card Bookings – this could eat into your £20/£100/£150/£3000 quickly if you’re not very careful (e.g. on their baseline London to NYC offer of £338, this is a surcharge of £7.10 – well over a third of your discount).
Not wildly brilliant, but not bad if you can make use of the saving – it beats some of the Economy Class fares out there by a stretch at the moment.
