The routes and timings allow reasonable connections across Singapore Airlines network, whilst giving customers a choice of what equipment to choose. In addition, with an A380 coming in on each route, both routes frequency will drop to twice daily as opposed to the three times a day.
With the first carrier coming in, Emirates must be carefully planning a move to drop its A380s in too. Other A380 carriers will be watching in the background to see if its worth deploying the superjumbo to India.
If you’re a passenger, this could be a golden time, as carriers will be forced to compete on time, price and product.
All the makings of interesting times.
