Air Berlin were offering a 1500 miles bonus sign-up recently for their TopBonus (as opposed to its usual 500 miles), so for a giggle I decided to sign up and see what bonus items arrive.
By the way: it seems the 1500 offer is over, and it’s gone to 500 miles at http://www.airberlin.com/en/site/landingpages/tb_aktionen.php?cat=1&aktion=wenigflieger&promotionCode=TE38
And lo and behold, this came in the post…
Inside the enveope wasn’t a lot – but the core things required…
The all important card – just a “classic” card for now
TopBonus – as well as being Air Berlin’s frequent flyer scheme – has access to oneworld inventory, as well as Etihad, Virgin Australia, Bangkok Airways and Hainan Airlines.
The scheme itself is is owned by Etihad (who own 70% of TopBonus) and Air Berlin (30%).
You can grab 500 free miles if you want to register for TopBonus at http://www.airberlin.com/en/site/landingpages/tb_aktionen.php?cat=1&aktion=wenigflieger&promotionCode=TE38

I was going to write about that in a bit. Kind of reminds of another frequently flyer that went to the wall…
