There are pioneers of aviation – one of which was Amelia Mary Earhart – who set out to circumnavigate the globe. Sadly during her attempt, her plane vanished over the South Pacific, not to be seen again.
However, it has inspired some to take to the air and understand more about the world.
75 years later, the legacy of Ameila Mary Earhat has inspired Amelia Rose Earhart to take to the air to complete her namesakes flight, with 17 stops in 14 countries around the world trip – and making her the youngest woman to circumnavigate the globe in a single-engine aircraft.

With an extended range tank and her co-pilot – they will set off on their adventure on the 26th June.
Along the way, Ameila will be awarding flight scholarships to young women through the Fly With Amelia Foundation.
What an adventure. It won’t be an easy ride in the least, and will offer a unique set of challenges.
The words of Ameila Mary Earhart comes to mind with this endeavour:
“Adventure is worthwhile in itself.”
Even as some of us take to the air in our comfortable seats, I still feel the adventure when I travel. And it’s worthwhile – no matter the pain or inconvenience suffered.
You can keep track of Amelia Rose’s journey at http://www.ameliaearhartproject.com/ – I will be.
On behalf of GhettoIFE, I wish Bon Voyage and Good luck to the team as they take to the air.
