Etihad Airways has rolled out a promotion for those buying Business and First Class tickets in their Etihad Guest programme, offering:
- Double Miles for Business Class bookings with each eligible flight
- Triple Miles for First Class bookings with each eligible flight

Registration for this promotion commenced on the 12th August, running to 31st August 2014, with the double/treble earning period starting from 20th August through to 25th September 2014, thus giving you a few weeks to book a flight, and a few more weeks to take the said flights.

Double/Triple miles will only be awarded on Etihad operated flights only, with reward flights not counting and only on flights during the promotional period.
The big thing to note however, buried in the T&Cs is that you will earn “Etihad Guest Miles” and not “Tier Miles” that are required to elevate yourself through the Etihad Guest frequent flyer programme.
However, if you do have bookings coming up on Etihad, and need to credit the miles to the Etihad Guest, this could be quite lucrative – least of all with the ability to redeem through Etihad’s network (both operated and equity shared) should give a lot of options and food for thought.
