It seems Vereinigung Cockpit is still unhappy with the planned changes to retirement policies at Lufthansa Group, with the union members of who fly with Germanwings to strike on 16th October 2014 for 12 hours.

The stoppage will run between 12:00CET and 00:00CET (Central European Time) during the 16th October 2014.
Germanwings are expecting disruptions during the strike period. Head to https://www.germanwings.com/en/Booking/information-for-our-passengers.htm and pop in your flight number to see if you are hit or not.
Flights that are cancelled can be cancelled or date of travel changed by going to the Germanwings site and checking your booking – both before and after the scheduled departure time. For German domestic flights that face cancellation, you can swap it for a Deutsche Bahn ticket (either at the airport, or online).
Alas, there’s an ominous threat of more strikes from Vereinigung Cockpit
As usual, plan ahead and make changes if you need to travel on Germanwings today.
