Time for another snapshot from the Chicago, with me staying at the Crowne Plaza O’Hare
Getting there
It’s a choice of Taxi, Shuttle Bus or Uber. Much like the classic Daddy or Chips question. I got a taxi… because I was exhausted and couldn’t be bothered to wait for a shuttle every 30 minutes.
Thankfully the taxi driver was efficient, didn’t get lost (still a surprise each time) and didn’t charge an excess to venture into Rosemont. Miracles never cease.
Why did I end up at the Crowne Plaza. Simple – I couldn’t get space at the Hyatt I wanted, and doubley important, the Intercontinental O’Hare has re-flagged into a Loews
Check was handled quickly, and I was soon on my way.
Crowne Plaza O’Hare public areas
The room was near the lifts. Normally, this could be a bad thing, but I couldn’t hear anything in the room. As for the room itself, it was a corner room – and this is good as there’s a touch more space.
The room itself was comfortable, and everything worked as advertised… for the amount of time I spent in it – this room sadly was used as a crash-pad as opposed to a hotel experience – as a Chicago weekend for me is normally very busy.
I’ll have more later on with the full experience in a trip report.
