Time for another snapshot of my recent Chicago trip – this time at one of my familiar haunts, The Hyatt Regency O’Hare.
Location: Well it’s off North River Road in Rosemont. If you’re catching a cab or L service downtown, you can’t miss the place…
I spent way too much time catching up with friends that weekend, but I was glad I got a room at the group rate I’m on (it was good at killing the normal Hyatt rates in that hotel without trying).
I was assigned into the main block as requested, and to my surprise even though I booked a king, I was given a double-double. Now that’s what I’m talking about!
Beds – gotta admit they look better without the millions of occasional pillows.
The room was well heated/cool, and of course, it’s a Hyatt bed – which means I get some of the best sleep I get when travelling around.
Bathroom amenities were pretty much Hyatt standard, with a proper tub in these double-double rooms
Although, if one needed a decent coffee hit, I’d look elsewhere than the on-site coffee shop… $6.06 for a Venti Americano Coffee…
Hyatt Regency O’Hare Coffee from Perks. $6.06. Ouch.
Another having a Double-Double room in the main block in the Hyatt Regency O’Hare has one lovely feature – and that’s the view… especially at sunset
I’ll have a lot more in the trip report, coming in the next few weeks!

… or landing 27L. Lake Michigan, Wrigley Field, the junction, the forest preserve, the Hyatt, the Tri-State, and then touchdown.
