Qatar Airways is to boost its recently launched service between Doha and the Scottish capital Edinburgh.
Qatar Airways Airbus A330 Landing at Heathrow (sadly, I don’t have a Qatar Airways 787 image on my personal files yet).
Currently, the service operates 5 times a week between the two cities on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This is to be boosted from summer 2015, when the service goes daily.
The revised timetable looks like this:
QR027 DEPART DOH 07:45 ARRIVE EDI 13:00 QR028 DEPART EDI 14:30 ARRIVE DOH 23:30 Operates Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until 4th May 2015 Operates Daily from 5th May 2015 Booked Equipment: Boeing 787-8
It’s great news for Edinburgh, which attracting long haul traffic from American Airlines – increasing the oneworld presence at the airport. Timings are such they should meet the overnight traffic from Doha, whilst daytime arrivals should make reasonably easy connections with either British Airways or FlyBe for those who need to connect further on in Scotland.
