I’m taking a break from my Trip Report to note that Lufthansa is going to suffer its 2nd strike in a week, this time affecting Intercontinental services

The strike will run on the 4th December 2014 from 03:00 to 23:59 Central European Time, with Lufthansa able to operate around half of its long-haul services.
Currently, 72 services are cancelled according to https://www.lufthansa.com/online/myportal/lh/de/flight_services/cancelled_flights?nodeid=1410039030&l=en&cid=18002
Short and Medium haul services are unaffected by the action.
If you are affected by the action, rebooking and cancellations are offered free of charge according to https://www.lufthansa.com/online/myportal/lh/de/local?nodeid=1874371&l=en&cid=18002.
Long haul flights operated by Swiss, Brussels Airlines, Austrian Airlines, as well as short haul/medium haul services operated by Germanwings and Air Dolomiti are unaffected.
It’s sad that Vereinigung Cockpit and Lufthansa management have failed to come to any agreement. Sadly, it’s the customer who will suffer whilst the two sides battle it out…
