National Rail services from London Kings Cross station are severely disrupted, with no services due to operate as engineering works are overrunning.
Part of the great Kings Cross trainshed – Image, Economy Class and Beyond.
The services out of the East Coast Main Line terminal include routes operated by:
- East Coast
- First Hull Trains
- Grand Central
- Great Northerns
As a result, trains will not operate between London Kings Cross and Finsbury Park. Trains that were due to terminate at Kings Cross will instead terminate at Peterborough, Stevenage or Finsbury Park.
- Travellers who are intent, or need to get to and from Kings Cross on Saturday, will need to reach Finsbury Park either by London Underground or Great Northern services to London Moorgate to complete their travels.
- East Coast is advising its passengers to defer their travel till at least Sunday, Monday if preferable. East Coast tickets will not be valid between Sheffield and London St Pancras.
- Both Thameslink and Great Eastern will accept Great Northern tickets (Thamslink between London St Pancras and Luton, and Great Eastern between Ely/Cambridge to London Liverpool Street).
- Great Central passengers tickets will be valid Sunday and Monday.
Train companies and Network Rail are attempting to put together an emergency timetable for Sunday, however – this is still being developed.
It goes without saying expect disruptions.
Keep up to date with National Rail Enquires who will be updating the situation as it develops.
