Flights of the year:
- Best flight: OpenSkies Newark to Orly – Customer service second to none, and whilst the hard product is old, the service is excellent
- Most interesting flight: Biman Bangladesh DC-10 tourist flight – well what else was it going to be realistically? 😉
- Worst flight of the year: Lufthansa LH953 I’m still a bit miffed over the lack of attention to safety the crew paid attention to on this flight.
Commentary:
2014 has been an oddball of a year of travel, with the usual mix of business and economy class tickets and most of all experiences – it’s part of the reason why I fly. Certainly, there’s been highlights and lowlights, the usual Chicago trips and bits on the side I never thought I’d do.
Only a one of the trips was arduous… and that was down to one carrier and its inefficient hub… and surprisingly, it’s Lufthansa and Frankfurt that come to mind – not Heathrow (yes – that had me in shock too).
2015 is shaping up to be a busy year already – and I hope you’ll join me for more fun and adventures.
