I’ve had some great experiences the past few days in Waikiki and Honolulu – from climbing the Diamond Head Crater to navigating the local bus network, to forgetting to book things, and even visiting the sobering site of Pearl Harbour.
And all these things reminded me of something important in travel.

I don’t travel for a destination – its not in my nature – I travel for the experiences.
When I look back on my travels recently, my travels have been for either photography purposes, a conference or some other reason – that has nothing to do with pure personal enjoyment and not caring.
Or what’s commonly known as a holiday.
I’m pretty useless of shutting down and just doing nothing – I have to be doing “something”. However, a change of pace and points in time are a good reminder to one’s self to :
- Ease off the gas
- Look around the world
- Explore it a little more
And maybe that’s the biggest lesson I’m taking away from Hawaii.
Maloha Hawaii.
However, with every high, there’s a low. And that means dealing with British Airways AND US Airways later. To say I’m not a happy camper with them would be akin to saying that the sunset was beautiful earlier…

I agree I travel for the experience too and I love being able to take it all in. Unfortunately being a blogger doesn’t help as im sometimes thinking ” oh this will be nice to post on the blog” lol

I think you mean “Maholo” Hawaii? Or Aloha? Or you know a lot more Hawaiian than me (which is very possible)
