We’ve seen how British Airways treated me aboard BA001 across the pond. How about on the return leg aboard BA002?
Well the cabin is nice and dark when you board – in the mood for either a late night snack, or for some passengers, the joy of sleep.
Cabin during boarding
The cabin is pretty much in darkness with enough light for those who need it. Certainly, the flight is short enough for some to choose sleep over anything else.
Some however prefer to dine (especially for those of us who had zero time to head to the dining room before time).
Well a Kir Royale is a good enough start in my book.
And a starter to follow with prawns. Two to be precise.
Different food options were on the menu – I went for the beef.
Airline beef is a love-hate relationship for a lot of people. Unlike a lot of people, I like my beef dead, burried and charred to a crisp (or what’s known as well done) – therefore to me, this is nicely done beef.
Others may have other opinions.
The Pecan Pie was rather nice too.
The seat itself was great for a short doze – which considering my body had been through multiple time zones (going from -10GMT to GMT), wasn’t a bad thing.
The cabin warming up for the morning. Mood lighting at work.
Sadly, no main hot items for breakfast, with a fruit breakfast on the menu along with pastries for those who wanted them.
And of course, coming in so early in the morning, the approach into London City Airport was pretty spectacular…
Except of course – there was a bit of a go-around. Which means you get to see London at a low-level.
And finally at London City Airport after a successful touchdown.
