As Delta continues to strip away frequent flyer benefits (or make them harder to find, book, or anything useful). Delta is switching over coffee brands.
The Atlanta based airline will offer Starbucks Coffee on all its flights – in what Delta calls
“(its) effort to partner with high-quality, like-minded brands in an effort to enhance the overall traveling experience for customers”
Make of that what you will.
Of course, there’s a fancy infographic to make everyone warm and fuzzy.
Regular Delta flyers will probably be thinking why don’t they charge coffee for Skymiles and be done with it….
Starbucks coffee will be brewed on over 5000 flights a day on Delta mainline and Delta connection flights, serving Pike Place Roast and VIA decaffeinated coffees on their services.
Whilst some don’t like Starbucks coffee, a lot of people enjoy it (your writer included) – so it’s not that bad a passenger amenity, and an improvement in the passenger experience.
However, whilst Delta gives with one hand, it takes with another.
And there’s got to be change for the positive… or else those Starbucks coffee cups won’t get filled up as quick.

Delta can take Starbucks dark roast and shove it.
