It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more airplane art.
This week, sitting on the apron on its own in the sun at Frankfurt airport is a Lufthansa Boeing 737-500 with its engines having a check it seems.
Lufthansa has 12 of the small Boeing 737-500 classic series aircraft in its fleet (along with 9 Boeing 737-300s) – although these aircraft are due to be removed from service during 2015 as Lufthansa continues to focus on the Airbus A320 family, the Embraer E-190/E-195 family and Bombardier CRJ-700 for its short to medium haul fleet.
You can find out what I thought of the Lufthansa Boeing 737-500s in my trip report… in Business Class and Economy Class, fitted with the Neue Europa Kabin seating.
More Airplane art next week!
