Good evening from the Chicago Area, where I’ve once again confounded the odds and made it all the way here – without a major incident (apart from forgetting my MacBook Charger).
Some bullet points:
- Gate A10 at Heathrow Terminal 5 is a disgrace. Seriously, can no one organise boarding sequences correctly there?
- The legroom on the exit row of a British Airways A321 is not to be sniffed at practically unlimited
- The seat aboard the A321 is of course, the British Airways New Shorthaul seat (or what I’m still calling BA-NEK
Madrid Airport may look pretty, but it feels like an unorganised mess. Limited security lanes when transfering and very little queue management.
- Iberia’s Safety video has scary CGI Characters in them. Seriously.
- The IFE System has some useful things. Such as a headphone socket, a Panasonic eXconnect port and a USB port
- And by some magical means, I scored a major upgrade in the hotel.
More later on… including why I didn’t use the Iberia WiFi service…
