It’s Saturday again, so it’s time to get the white overalls and breathing masks out as we go and paint another plane.
This week, British Airways get one of their Boeing 777-200 aircraft repainted – with artwork by Chinese fashion designer Masha Ma.
186 stencils and a lot of man hours went into repainting this plane was done for the GREAT Festival of Creativity hosted in Shanghai – in conjunction with the VisitBritian.
The design is “East meets West”, with Bamboo and Flower motifs on the plane… and looks rather cute when fully painted.
The completed work is presented here – along with Georgia May Jagger showing off part of Masha Ma’s Spring / Summer 2015 collection too.
The artwork on G-YMML will fly as part of the British Airways mainline fleet.
