It seems that Qatar Airways is continuing its USA expansion (much to the legacy carriers exasperation), with Qatar Airways Doha to Miami service to gain both a capacity and service increase.
The first stage will take place on the 2nd May 2015, when the first capacity increase will occur, with the Boeing 777-200LR which currently operates the route will be be swapped out for a larger Boeing 777-300ER
The is a major capacity increase in economy class, as can be seen below:
777-200LR 777-300ER Business Class 42 42 Economy Class 217 293
Changes are loaded in the booking engine – and if you have a booking held in the Qatar Airways system, it could be worth looking at any seat changes needed.
In addition, this service currently operates five times a week. In late winter 2015, the Doha-Miami run will go daily with the larger aircraft.
Only Qatar Airways contends this route between the two city pairs, with none of the United States based airlines operating to Qatar currently.
