It seems that Vereinigung Cockpit is on full attack, with the planned Lufthansa Short and Medium haul programme being hit extremely hard tomorrow due to another strike.

Affected airlines:
- Lufthansa Main Line services, short-haul and medium haul routes
- Some Lufthansa City Line Services
- Other Lufthansa group airlines are not affected
769 flights are affected, which is a substantial amount of their short-haul/medium haul programme.
The full list is at http://www.lufthansa.com/online/portal/lh/de/flight_services/cancelled_flights?nodeid=1410039030&l=en&cid=18002

Whilst short-haul and medium-haul are an annoyance at best – and a major inconvenience at worst, it seems that Vereinigung Cockpit is going to twist the knife – and have another strike that will hit long-haul passenger services and cargo services on the 19th March.
This will affect the intercontinental routes that Lufthansa operates.
Currently, no list of flights is available yet for Thursday’s cancellations – however if I was travelling with Lufthansa on Thursday, I’d be looking at rebooking options now.
Strike action is never welcome when it hits the passenger likes this, and with the disruptions that are coming up – it won’t do any good for either side in this dispute.
