Route changes are a fact of airline life – the bottom line is if an airline isn’t making enough off a route, it’ll pull the route.
It seems this is what has happened to Flybe’s Southend to Dublin route according to The Southend Echo and Business Traveller.

Whilst flights will cease on the 13th April 2015, checking the FlyBe web site – it seems the airline has given up with the route already, with a limited two times a week service
Flybe will continue to operate services out of Southend Airport Caen – Normandy, Groningen, Munster Osnabruck and Rennes using Stobart Air to operate the services.
S
outhend Airport (or London Southend Airport as it likes to style itself) is about 42 miles from Central London – positioning itself to Low Cost Carriers, niche carriers and of course the lucrative private jet market.
The airport offers training facilities and aircraft overhaul facilities.
The main carriers remaining are EasyJet, FlyBe, Sky Work Airlines (of Bern), with Adria Airways, Air Kärnten and Volotea operating seasonal services.
Whilst it’s not a body blow to Southend Airport – it is a disappointment for locals who will now have to travel to London City or London Stansted Airport to catch their flight to Dublin
More interestingly – at the time of writing it seems FlyBe has thrown in the towel between London City and Dublin.
More analysis later.
