Delta adds A330 services from Atlanta to South America and Europe

16/06/2015 by Kevincm

Delta continues to expand its operations of its Airbus A330 fleet, with routes announced from Atlanta to Rio de Janeiro, San Paulo, Frankfurt and Munich.

The new operations are timed for the Winter 2015 season, with the majority of changes starting in October 2015, and the San Paulo service starting in December.

In the majority of cases, the routes are currently being operated with Boeing 767 aircraft (both the -300 and 400ER variants).

Delta has recently begun taking delivery of the heavyweight A330-300s which should feature in these operations.

As some of you know, I do prefer the Airbus A330 on a transatlantic run compared to some of the other options out there – and the Delta option looks a reasonable one to me.

I finally had a chance to ride on a DL A330 from NRT to TPE–new plane feel/look/comfort. Loved it!
