WestJet of Canada has decided where it’s going to send one of its Boeing 767 aircraft – and that destination will be London Gatwick Airport.

But where and when they’ll be flying from in Canada to London Gatwick… that’s yet to be decided.
WestJet currently operate some transatlantic services, with service to Dublin and Gatwick, so an expansion to London seems to be a logical move.
The Canadian end of the operation will be subject to demand at the moment as WestJet analyses where its best to start the service.
Of course, with this move WestJet will be even more head-to-head against Air Canada.
All being well, the route network will be set up in September, and the route will be flying in Spring/Summer 2015.
It will being another lower cost carrier across the pond as the “dream” of low cost airlines attacking the Atlantic seems to be bearing fruit after a long wait.
