Another hard to open envelope arrived in my post yesterday. Within in was sometime I like to keep an eye out for – the British Airways Golden Ticket.
The aim of the Golden ticket scheme is very simple: to reward outstanding service.
The Golden ticket is for any member of British Airways staff, its affiliates and franchisees (such as SunAir, ComAir and OpenSkies). This can be from the front line of service on a plane, on the ground, or even with the call centre.
(although this years Golden ticket looks a bit… well.. more bronze and cheaper than last years Golden Ticket- 2015 on the left, 2014 on the right )
The Golden Tickets scheme is issued to British Airways Executive Club Gold and Gold Guest List members (Gold members get a single card, Gold Guest List get two cards).
These scheme is a good one – its an easy way of rewarding crew who do an outstanding job. Of course, things like verbal thanks, filling in a form on http://ba.com/welldone or even writing a letter.
My problem with the scheme is… well two-fold. One problem is me not carrying the golden ticket with me. The other problem…. is finding someone who I think deserves the Golden Ticket.
That – is the tougher challenge. I still look forward to giving both of my tickets out… when I find the right reason to give one of them out.
