By now you’re aware of the incident in Tunisia at Port El Kantaoui, where at least 38 people were killed in an attack.
Reports indicate that there were British, Tunisians, German, Belgian, French and Irish citizens were killed in the attack.
Thomas Cook and First Choice have sent 10 planes to rescue tourists and return them to the UK. JetAir Fly turned a flight back which was due to head to Tunisia.
In the meantime Thomson and First Choice holidays to Tunisia have been cancelled for the next week.
Thomas Cook has minimal coverage the hotels are affected, a rescue flight is being organised, and have teams on the ground.
Jet2 has support on the ground, and is offering refunds and cancellations for holidays departing before 24th July.
Monarch have sent a rescue flight, and is allowing any holidays booked to depart in the next seven days can choose to change their holiday.
In any case, you may wish to contact you holiday operator to see what arrangements need to be made.
The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office has updated its travel advice on Tunisia, but it’s a good idea to keep an eye on their Twitter feed – as there is a strong chance the advice may occur after a UK security meeting has occurred.
