Plaza Premium appear to be popping up more lounges around the world – with the launch of a lounge in Singapore Changi Airport.
Now, Singapore Changi Airport is one heck of an airport – lets make no bones about that, so a lounge may seem suplurious. But there are times where you need to take a break away from the masses to get on with some work in peace or relax – and that’s where lounges come in.
Whilst some of us do have Gold cards or lounge access cards – sometimes, these won’t work when flying on non-alliance airlines. This is also another great use of lounges if you need to work or rest in a quiet area.
The lounge is located in Terminal 1 of Changi Airport in the departures hall, with views over the runway.
The lounge offers live cooking areas, with food prepared in front of you too.
The live kitchen will be cooking up some Singapore favourites including Singapore Laksa, Singapore Chicken Rice and The Green Market Temaki.
As well as seating and course – Wifi connectivity, the lounge offers six shower rooms, three private resting suites, two VIP rooms and massage & nail care services for those who need them.
So, this is all nice and pretty. Lets look at the numbers.
For access to the lounge, it starts at S$58 for up to five hours, $105 for up to 10 hours, with children half price. Showers and a welcome drink will set you back S$16, with the suites starting at S$75 for 3 hours and 3 hours of lounge access for a single room, S$180 for a family room (as shown above).
For those who have longer transfers, keep an eye out as Plaza Premium is preparing to launch a transit hotel in Terminal 1.
Again – it’s a good option for when you don’t have lounge access and you need to get away from the hubbub of the terminal.
