It’s time to make alternative plans if you’re spending any time in Greater London over the next few days as another strike affecting London Underground comes around.
The strike called by the union is over the planned launch of the Night Tube services – which will allow some London Underground services to operate 24 hours during weekends.
Transport for London predict there will be no London Underground services from 18:30 onwards on Wednesday and no services at all on Thursday

For those of you coming into London Heathrow, the Heathrow Express and Heathrow Connect will operate normally, however the Piccadilly Line will be shut.
The following services will still operate during the London Underground strike:
- Docklands Light Railway
- London Overground
- TfL Rail
- London Buses
- River Services
- Emirates Air Line
- All National Rail services will operate normally except on the Chiltern Lines where there will be changes on the Aylesbury Line
Extra buses, Riverboat services and Bikes are being laid on to help, but its going to be tough to get around.
This closure will not be pleasant at all (although the weather conditions are not as sweltering when the last strike occurred)
I’d strongly recommend either getting on your bike… or getting a copy of the #walklondon map from http://www.aryjoecreatives.com/walklondon
Because in a lot of situations – it could be a lot quicker to walk around London.
