I’m in the midst of organising my tradition autumn trip to the USA at the moment. And I’m facing a quandary.
Namely – dealing with the unfamiliar.
If you look at my trip reports, you’ll notice that there’s a commonality in my trip reports namely:
- The Hyatt Regency O’Hare
- The Crowne Plaza O’Hare
Both of these hotels have served me well in the past – however – the day I arrive in Chicago… neither are avalible.
Thankfully – there is choice. And in the O’Hare Area – there’s a LOT of it.
So many choices and many different budgets. Considering who I am loyal to, it becomes a bit more interesting. Ok… annoying.
Thankfully I have loyalty and points with:
- Hyatt
- IHG
- Club Carlson
Since the first night is a crash-pad for me after arriving in Chicago, I’m not overly fussed on amenities.
I’ve got no confidence in bidding for hotels, I’m leaning towards trying something new.
The unknown. Such an amazing thing. Lets see if I can be brave enough to try a totally new property. Although with my Club Carlson points trying to expire… I have a feeling I know what I’m going to do….
