For those of you following the following the spread of Boeing 747-8i services across the world, some of you might be happy to learn that Korean Air will operate services between Seoul Incheon and Chicago O’Hare International

Korean Air will operate a Boeing 747-8i daily in place of the existing Boeing 777-300ER operated service.
The timings are below:
KE037 DEPART ICN 10:40 ARRIVE ORD 08:30 KE038 DEPART ORD 11:30 ARRIVE ICN 16:30+1 Booked Equipment until 29th February 2016 - Boeing 777-300ER Booked Equipment from 1st March 2016 - Boeing 747-8i Data: Airline Route
As well as flying to Chicago O’Hare, Korean Air plans to operate its new Boeing 747-8i between Seoul Incheon and Auckland.
It’s certainly an ambitious plan to operate.
Currently, Korean Air is planning to operate from its base at Seoul Incheon to Frankfurt, Singapore and San Francisco.
With 10 Boeing 747-8i’s due to be delivered, there’s a lot of routes to fill.
Korean Air also joins Lufthansa as the only airlines that operate the newest generation of superjumbo aircraft.

Interesting that these routes are all Star Alliance carrier (and not Delta/SkyTeam) hubs.
