Delta is planning route expansion between the Midwest United States of America and Europe, with the announcement of two new routes.
First up is a new service between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Rome (Italy).

The Rome service will be the fifth long haul service out of Minneapolis-St. Paul, and will form the 10th daily service between the USA and Italy in the summer 2016 season to be operated by Delta.
The planned operation looks like this:
DL090 DEPART MSP 17:25 ARRIVE FCO 10:00+1 DL091 DEPART FCO 11:45 ARRIVE MSP 15:45 Commences: 26th May 2016 from MSP, FCO from 27th May 21 May 2016 Operates Daily Booked Equipment: Boeing 767-300ER
Meanwhile, Deltas Detroit base will gain a service to Munich – commencing from 26th May 2016.
DL022 DEPART DTW 17:25 ARRIVE MUC 10:00+1 DL093 DEPART MUC 11:45 ARRIVE DTW 15:45 Commences: 26th May 2016 from DTW, MUC from 27th May 21 May 2016 Operates Daily Booked Equipment: Boeing 767-400ER
This will be Delta’s second daily flight between Detroit and Germany.
Services will be offered in the usual 3 cabin service, with Delta One Business Cabin, Delta Comfort Plus (extra legroom economy) and Main Cabin.
As usual, the service will code-shared and operated via the Air France/KLM/Alitalia Joint Venture Transatlantic joint venture – so these flights should be showing as available to book through your favourite of the bunch of them.
Some interesting options for those who are going to be travelling to Europe – or travelling to the USA in the summer of 2016.
Booking is open now for these flights.
