With Finnair taking delivery of its first Airbus A350 yesterday, the airline wasted no time with an announcement for new routes from its Helsinki hub.
Both Guangzhou and Fukuoka will be joining the Finnair network in May 2016.

Finnair will operate its other twin engined wide-body Airbus – the Airbus A330 to Guangzhou four times a week, and Fukuoka once a week.
Here’s the timetable for both of these routes
Helsinki – Guangzhou
AY067 DEPART HEL 17:00 ARRIVE CAN 07:30+1 Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Friday and Sundays AY068 DEPART CAN 10:00 ARRIVE HEL 15:00 Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays Commences 6th May 2016 subject to approval Booked Equipment: Airbus A330-300
Helsinki – Fukuoka
AY075 DEPART HEL 16:30 ARRIVE FUK 08:00+1 Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays AY076 DEPART FUK 09:30 ARRIVE HEL 13:55 Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays Commences 7th May 2016 Booked Equipment: Airbus A330-300
Those who need to book will be happy to know that bookings are open for these routes (even though they’re still subject to approval).
With the extra A350s joining the fleet – along with an Asian focus, I’d expect Finnair to announce more routes to the region sooner rather than later…
